The teenage leader of Warwickshire County Council has reportedly been assaulted in the street.

Reform UK's Cllr George Finch, 19, was allegedly in the early hours of Saturday morning (October 11) and reportedly called a "fascist" and "racist".

According to the Daily Mail, the incident took place in the street and came after the alleged attacker had been "wound up and sent into battle by the dangerous rhetoric of Labour and the Greens".

Reform's head of department of government efficiency took to X to further blame Kier Starmer and the Green Party.

He wrote: "The assailant shouted 'fascist, racist' - exactly the language used by the prime minister and the leader of the Green Party.

"They know exactly what they're doing."

The incident reportedly took place in Nuneaton town centre where Cllr Finch was accompanied by a female friend.

Warwickshire Police was called to the scene and has confirmed it is investigating an assault after a report at 2am on Saturday morning in which "a man stated he had been pushed by another man".

Labour has condemned the incident but said it was "categorically incorrect" to suggest Sir Kier or the party was to blame.

Mr Farage accused Sir Kier of inciting the "radical left" at the Labour Party conference when he claimed the Reform leader "doesn't like Britain".
