No.34 Garden and Grill is set to open its doors to guests in Warwick for the first time tomorrow night (March 3).

It was announced in January that the Stratford Road pub, formerly called the Racehorse, would be taken over by Midlands-based hospitality firm Caviar & Chips.

Landlords Everards Brewery asked Caviar & Chips to step in as trade at the pub continued to decline.

Following a fortnight of renovations the pub will reopen with two new menus, one from the garden and one from the grill.

Tomorrow's launch night will see free food and drink served from 5pm to 7pm, followed by live music from 8pm to 11pm.

Caviar & Chips also manages the Virgins and Castle in Kenilworth and in less than two years has increased trade by over 50 per cent, despite going through a global pandemic.

Explaining the concept of the new Warwick venue, co-founder Marc Hornby said: "The concept of No.34 is a simple one.

"Two distinctive menus; one from the garden and one from the grill served in the backdrop of a restaurant that works in a sustainable way that focusses on doing the right things – being a great place to work, a place to visit and a business that looks after its community.

"We'll have a delicious selection of plant-based and vegan dishes prepared using great tasting seasonal ingredients on our garden menu.

"Alongside a celebration of great British farming and local produce that our chefs use to create tasty dishes on our grill menu.

"We're also creating a beautiful, tranquil space where we bring the outdoors in. Touches of nature and all things that connect us with the natural world. A restaurant, dining and relaxing place where you can unwind, recharge and boost your wellbeing."
