A Leamington man has given a "message of special thanks" to the "amazing, kind, wonderful" people who helped him get home when his motorcycle broke down in Kenilworth earlier this month.

Glenn Gordon said he was driving down the Coventry Road at around 5.30pm on Saturday 13 April when his bike broke down - and he was left wondering how he was going to make it home.

To Glenn's relief a number of motorists stop to offer help, including one family on there way home.

The helpers were then joined by 'Steve' who helped push the bike up to his house nearby where he put the vehicle on a bike trailer and brought it and Glenn all the way back to Leamington.

"There are no words to express my thanks enough," Glenn said.

"To the biker who pulled over, to the young lad who pulled over in his car to offer me his tools and especially to Steve and his lovely kind wife, you are truly amazing, very special people who are a gift to the world.

"I know some people don't believe in angels, but these wonderful people really are a gift from God.

"I will never forget you and you will forever hold a special place in my heart.

"As Steve dropped me off, I wanted to go into my flat for some cash, as all I had was my debit card, but he wouldn't accept it.

"Instead, all he asked for was that I remember that someday someone might be in the same kind of trouble and need my help.

"I thought, when that happens, it won't be me they should be thankful to. It should be Steve.

"If this story inspires you to be kind to someone, it will be thanks to Steve."
