Christmas started with a "buzz" at Waverley Day Centre as staff, trustees and volunteers came together to celebrate the wonderful work the team of volunteers do.
Much fun was had as everyone came together to share stories, make connections, new friendships and enjoy a lovely buffet lunch.
"The team of volunteers at Waverley give so much to the clients," the Waverley team said.
"The drivers who pick up our clients in the morning and take them home at the end of the day are firm favourites, often sharing a good old sing song on the bus or pointing out some interesting facts about Kenilworth along the way.
"The team of volunteers who support Sue in the kitchen make sure our clients have an amazing two course home cooked meal every day which is a real winner with all our clients.
Thanking the volunteers for everything they do throughout the year, Waverley Centre Manager Kate Sweet said: "Each and every one of our volunteers are worth their weight in gold, our minibus drivers, catering supporters and befrienders, you all make an absolute huge difference."
Waverley has been providing opportunities for older people for many years and is in a unique position to be able to provide a transport service to clients living in the CV8 area but equally welcomes clients for further afield.
None of this would be possible without the team of volunteers.
If you have a few hours free hours and would like to join this amazing group of people e-mail Kate at [email protected] to arrange a time for a chat or alternatively call on 01926 852365.
Waverley will close for the Christmas and New Year break on Tuesday 23 December 2025, welcoming clients back on Friday 2 January 2026.
