Kenilworth Talking News: Keeping the visually impaired connected
Are you visually impaired or have difficulty in reading the local newspapers, or do you know someone who is?
The Talking Newspaper for Kenilworth, Warwick and Leamington Spa (known as KTN) offers to provide free of charge a memory stick containing all the local news for you to listen to.
This is sent out once per fortnight in a wallet which is carried free of charge by Royal Mail.
When you have listened to it, all you have to do is pop the memory stick back into the wallet and post it in a post box and Royal Mail will deliver it back to us in time for the next edition.
We also add to every edition of the news a section of magazine items, similar to those you would normally get in a newspaper magazine.
All of these methods are free to use, and we even supply a suitable USB player if you take the memory stick version but have nothing to play it on.
For further information on becoming one of our local listeners, please contact the Waverley Day Centre in Kenilworth on 01926 852365, or write to our Secretary, Talking News, care of Waverley, 65 Waverley Road, Kenilworth, CV8 1JL.
