Programme update as Kenilworth Fringe Festival gets underway
By James Smith 2nd Feb 2026
A small change has been confirmed for the final day of the first ever Kenilworth Fringe Festival.
Launched today (February 2) the festival will bring a week of cultural activities, discussion and performances to venues across the town.
The week was due to culminate with a talk by top human rights barrister Michael Mansfield KC, but this has now been cancelled.
Instead author Jackie Morris will be hosting an "equally fascinating event" discussing her latest book, Wild Folk.
Kenilworth Books - which is helping organise the festival with Kenilworth Chamber of Trade - said: "We're very sorry to share that Michael Mansfield has had to cancel his talk on Sunday 8 February due to personal reasons.
"We know many of you were looking forward to hearing him, and we send him our very best wishes.
"But the good news is that a wonderful friend of the bookshop, Jackie Morris, has kindly stepped in at short notice.
"She'll be joining us for an equally fascinating event, sharing stories, insights, and offering rare copies of her latest book, Wild Folk.
"We're incredibly grateful to Jackie for her generosity and can't wait for you to hear from her.
"It's going to be something special!"
