Kenilworth Books is "delighted to announce" it has been named the book supplier for a new festival coming to South Warwickshire this September.

The Talisman Square shop will be supporting the first ever Shipston Bookfest which runs from September 21 to 29.

The programme for the Shipston-on-Stour event includes bestselling crime author Adele Parks, local historian Sue Law and even 'Bake Off' star Prue Leith.

Shipston Bookfest originated from a post on a Facebook community group about the town's lack of literary events, with a group of local enthusiasts soon coming together to bring the festival to life.

Supporting initiatives outside Talisman Square is nothing new for Kenilworth Books, which has a strong reputation of supporting and organising events across Coventry and Warwickshire.

"We are delighted to be supporting Shipston Bookfest this year," shop owner Judy Brook said.

"It is such an exciting initiative and it is great to see the community come together to put on such an exciting programme across the week.

"Events like this are so important for inspiring youngsters to get reading, and to help authors promote their work.

"We hope the first Shipston Bookfest is a huge success and are really excited to be on board."

The full programme for Shipston Bookfest is available here.
