As 2026 gets underway our partners at Kenilworth Books have looked ahead to the exciting possibilities and, of course, plenty of bookish adventures.
They have rounded up five fantastic ways to immerse yourself in the literary world right here in our local area.
Get ready to turn a new page and discover some wonderful new experiences!
"Whether you're turning pages in a cosy book club, walking through the living history of our streets, or catching a premiere at the theatre, we can't wait to see you out and about making this Kenilworth's most literary year yet," the team said.
1. Discover Hidden Gems at the Kenilworth Fringe Festival
Date: 2–8 February
Location: Various Locations around Kenilworth
Get ready for a new vibrant celebration of arts and culture at the Kenilworth Fringe Festival!
The theme of the Fringe is place and place-making. Writers, musicians and artists will contribute to events throughout the week suitable for all ages, with two full days of activities on the Saturday and Sunday.
Many events are free of charge, but some are paid.

2. Join the Discussion: Kenilworth Books Book Club
Date: 28 January
Location: Kenilworth Books
Kick off your reading goals by joining the Kenilworth Books Book Club.
It's a wonderful chance to meet fellow bibliophiles, explore new genres, and share insights in a friendly atmosphere.
For January we will be reading The Marriage Contract. Author Sasha Butler will be joining us for a book club Q&A on Wednesday 28 January to chat all about her debut novel.

3. Experience Stories Live: A Night at the Theatre
Beyond the page, stories truly come alive on stage.
Make it your resolution to catch a local production! Whether you enjoy the intimate community feel of the Talisman Theatre and Priory Theatre, or the world-class touring shows at the Warwick Arts Centre, there is a wealth of drama and narrative waiting for you just around the corner.

4. Uncover the Past: A Talk by Historian Robin Leach
Dates: 5 February, 7.30pm Start
Location: Kenilworth Library
Dive deep into the archives this February! Renowned local historian and author Robin Leach of Victorian Kenilworth, The Complete History of the Abbey Fields and World War Two Comes to Kenilworth – will be sharing his extensive knowledge of our town's heritage with a talk at the library with images to share his passion and extensive knowledge about the town.
The event is free but you will need to book a space.
5. Embark on a Hunt for a Mystical Delve
Date: Spring
Location: Various Locations around Warwickshire
Ready for a literary adventure? Join the hunt for one of seven "Mystical Delve" right here in Warwickshire created by local poet, sculptor and organic allotmenteer.
This unique, interactive experience will have you solving riddles and uncovering local lore inspired by Kenilworth's rich history.
Sharpen your wits and prepare to see our town through a storyteller's eyes.
