The Peacock Hotel in Kenilworth is "proudly" celebrating its first anniversary under the new stewardship of business partners Subbu Meyyappan and Peri Murugaraman.

Over the past year, the duo has revitalized the Warwick Road establishment, saving it from closure and completing a full renovation throughout the 32-room business.

And to mark their first 12 months in charge, the new Peacock team are offering guests a complimentary cocktail when they dine at the hotel this March.

"We are proud to have brought new life to this hotel," Peri told Nub News.

"This past year has been about preserving an important part of Kenilworth while working hard to provide comfortable accommodation and excellent service for our guests.

"We have loved running the hotel and have enjoyed putting our own stamp on the business."

The last 12 months has also seen Peri and Subbu open a new restaurant inside the Peacock, with a former sitting room completely transformed to become the Feather Bar and Grill.

The restaurant features an extensive menu, including American-style burgers, steaks, pastas, and salads, catering to diverse palates.

Subbu highlighted the uniqueness of their offerings, stating: "There is nowhere else in Kenilworth offering a menu like this, with such quality food at such great value."

The ever-popular Malaysian eatery Raffles also remains open at the hotel, with a new menu also revealed in the last year.

The restaurant's new menu was announced last summer, bringing a range of "authentic and exciting dishes" and a selection of healthy starters.

As the Peacock Hotel marks this significant milestone, the duo say they remain committed to enhancing the guest experience.

And they were quick to thank the local community for their support.

"With the success of our new restaurant inside the hotel, we are looking forward to expanding our food offering, hosting more events, and making the Peacock Hotel a true destination for both locals and visitors," Peri said.

"We are incredibly grateful to the people of Kenilworth for their support over the past year.

"From our hotel guests to the diners at our new restaurant, every visitor has played a part in helping us keep this business thriving."
