A Kenilworth Thai restaurant which promises 'delicious' and traditional food from southeast Asia has celebrated its first anniversary.

Nur Nur Paradise first opened on Warwick Road at the end of 2023, bringing a huge variety of traditional Thai dishes and flavour twists on traditional western food.

Run by Lee Wangsalee and Chantana Nimcean, Nur Nur Paradise took over from the former Thai Sorracha eatery in the town centre and completely transformed the unit into a contemporary and comfortable restaurant.

And having now celebrated the first anniversary, Lee told Nub News he was delighted with the feedback and support from locals.

"We have really enjoyed our first year in Kenilworth, the feedback has been great," he said.

"We have slowly changed our menu over the year, adding in more of the popular dishes like the 'Kenilworth chicken' and the popular duck dishes.

"Customers have been very supportive and given us good feedback which we really appreciate."

Lee and Chantana first met working at the Giggling Squid chain but always had aspirations to open their own restaurant.

The duo said they have learnt a lot from their years of hospitality experience, and always had a clear idea of what they wanted to create at Nur Nur Paradise.

Lee added: "I have always loved working in hospitality and restaurants.

"When I was in Thailand I was working in five star hotels and loved looking after customers and working there.

"I still love working in restaurants, it is what I have always done and I love."

Over the last year, Nur Nur Paradise has launched a takeaway offering, as well as a new lunch menu which gives diners the chance to sample traditional Thai 'pinto' boxes - small plates of a variety of dishes.

Now the town centre business has launched a new membership offer, giving guests free access to exclusive discounts by registering their email addresses.

And for those who have yet to visit Nur Nur Paradise - which roughly translates to 'delicious' - Lee said there is something on the menu for everyone.

"Whether you have had Thai food a lot, or never tried it, we cater for everyone," he explained.

"We can help guide guests what is best for them to try, some dishes are much spicier and some are milder.

"We have traditional Thai dishes but also Asian interpretations of western food that guests will be more familiar with.

"So why not book a table and come and try us today!"
