1. Craft Workshop at the Castle

English Heritage is hosting the first of two craft workshops at Kenilworth Castle this weekend.

Organisers said: "Join us at Kenilworth Castle and Elizabethan Garden for a wonderful craft workshop followed by a cream tea! Located in our historic stables, you will be guided, step by step, in making a beautiful, folded book vase, and a selection of paper flowers to decorate it.

"To top it all off, you can then enjoy a scrumptious cream tea in our tearooms, all included in the ticket. The cream tea we are providing is - a choice of tea or coffee with a scone with jam and clotted cream."

The workshop will be run on Sunday 18 October from 1pm to 3.30pm.

2. An Improvised Murder

An award-winning comedy group is bringing murder, mystery and complete unpredictability to Henley-in-Arden on Saturday 17 October – and even the cast have no idea how the story will end.

Foghorn Unscripted's An Improvised Murder, winner of Best Show at Birmingham Fest 2024, will be performed at Henley-in-Arden Memorial Hall.

There is no script, no predetermined murderer and no rehearsed solution. Instead, suggestions from the audience inspire the characters and story, with the cast creating an entirely new comedy murder mystery live on stage.

Someone will die. Secrets will emerge. Suspects will appear. But who committed the murder?

3. Repair Café

Your monthly chance to get your broken items mended is this weekend.

Kenilworth Repair Café returns to Abbey Hill United Reform Church on Saturday 17 October.

Organisers said: "Our volunteers with skills in DIY repairs, electrical and electronics, toys, bicycles, simple sewing and jewellery, will be available to help you to fix your clean, portable items. We can't promise to mend everything but at least together we can have a good go to keep stuff out of landfill. We also offer small garden tool sharpening."
