Budding Kenilworth young entrepreneurs find success with party kits business

Twenty budding young entrepreneurs from Kenilworth School and Sixth Form have launched their own company as they take part in the Young Enterprise Company Programme.
The Year 12 students have entered the national scheme which gives pupils the chance to set up and run a real business.
'Confetti Club' has officially been launched, creating themed children's party kits "designed to make throwing a party simple and stress-free for parents".
The team has taken part in every stage of building the company, from product development to finance, marketing and sales.
They have departments including marketing, operations and finance, each having their own director and team that work together each week.

Students told Nub News the process has been "both exciting and challenging" and decided to pursue the Confetti Club idea as they had a clear vision of how to create a real product.
Each kit includes essentials such as plates, cups, napkins, balloons, activities and more — all matched to a fun theme and packed into one convenient box.
"I've loved leading our Young Enterprise team," said Charlotte Dubber, managing director.
"It's been a great way for us all to gain valuable skills for the future and it has been amazing to see how much our group has developed throughout the year."
So far, they have launched a Jungle Party Kit aimed at younger children and a Disco Party Kit aimed at slightly older children, and have been selling these online and at local trade fairs.

In March at a trade fair in Leamington Spa alongside other schools, the company was awarded with 'Best Customer Focus' by a Young Enterprise mystery shopper.
Headteacher at Kenilworth School & Sixth Form Darren Nicholas said: "'We are incredibly proud of our Year 12 students for the creativity, dedication and professionalism they've shown through the Young Enterprise Programme.
"Launching Confetti Club has not only allowed them to create a fantastic product, but it has also given them real-world experience in marketing, finance, operations and teamwork.
"These are the essential skills that will set them up for future success — whatever path they choose.
"At Kenilworth School, we are committed to providing opportunities like this that actively promote entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation, and it's inspiring to see our students thriving through such experiences."

At the end of April they headed to the local Young Enterprise showcase event, presenting the business and being interviewed by judges alongside other schools. At the event, which was hosted at Bablake School, the business received an award for its outstanding teamwork.
"A great idea and I am sure favourable with many working parents," was the feedback from the Young Enterprise mystery shopper.
"Positive in terms of sustainability too.
"Two great themes and good content inside.
"Lots of opportunities to expand.
"A really vibrant and positive bunch with a well thought through product."
