An aesthetic medicine clinic in Kenilworth has celebrated its first anniversary, following a "very successful" first year in business.

Shine Medical Cosmetic Clinic opened on Warwick Road in April 2023, founded by Dr Shyna Raj.

Launched with an aim to support clients achieve their aesthetic goals, without having to break the bank, the clinic has gone from strength to strength.

Over the past 12 months it has expanded its portfolio of aesthetic treatments, bringing in the very popular Cryotherapy, High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and Powersculpt treatments.

And now a year after first opening to clients, Dr Shyna said she has no regrets about opening the clinic.

"There has been a lot of interest from local people. It has been a great first year, which I am really pleased about," she told Nub News.

"And my clients have been really friendly and have been pleased with the treatments they have had, which I am really pleased about."

New Treatment

Just in time for the first anniversary, the Warwick Road clinic has enjoyed an internal makeover to make space for yet another treatment.

From the end of April, Shine Medical Cosmetic Clinic will be introducing World Class Laser treatments using the advanced, medical grade Xeo Laser from the American firm Cutera.

Some of the benefits include: reducing the appearance of sun damage, redness, wrinkles and improving skin texture. This is a non-ablative laser treatment which can provide quick results with little downtime - and is suitable for all skin types.

Dr Shyna explained: "Laser treatments are a very popular non-invasive aesthetic treatment.

"With the laser device, there are various things we can do. One treatment is called laser genesis which delivers laser energy to the deep layers of skin, and stimulates collagen production to improve the texture of your skin and provide a more youthful complexion.

"Also it can help reduce redness and pigmentation problems through skin therapy."

As well as helping to reduce the effects of fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage and even veins, the technology can also be used for hair removal.

Dr Shyna - who also recently became a member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine - said she had been looking to add such a treatment to her portfolio for some time.

And she said a lot of research had gone into choosing what would be best for her clients.

"It is a world class laser from a long established American company," she explained.

"This is a hugely popular company in the industry and has a great reputation.

"In London, you could trip over the number of practices offering this treatment - and at a much higher price.

"That same world class treatment, I am offering here at a much more affordable price."

An introductory discount

A Successful First Year

The business is planning to launch the new treatment with an introductory offer of 10% OFF for all laser treatments.

And for Dr Shyna - who spent over a year training at Harley Academy London to gain her level 7 postgraduate qualification in injectables and cosmetic dermatology - the new offer is yet another way for her to help clients achieve their goals.

"I am so passionate about this field and I feel so happy when I see my client's results," she explained.

"Some of the treatments like cryotherapy, people have lesions and so on which have been bothering them for a while, but then after a treatment they are so happy with results and having that removed.

"You get so much pleasure and satisfaction from this job, it is so rewarding."

Over the past 12 months clients have come from Kenilworth, Coventry, Warwick, Leamington and even further afield.

As the business continues to grow over the next year, Dr Shyna is encouraging more people to come for a free consultation.

And she is also thanking all those who have visited the clinic already by offering £50 off any treatment for previous clients.

"I want to thank all my customers and everyone who has shown interest over the past year," she said.

"As a token of gratitude, I would like to give out a £50 voucher for all existing customers, which can be used against any treatment or product in store".

"I am very proud of what we have created here".

"Considering I am new to business and have been learning new things, it is great to see what a great range of treatments we have built.

"I am able to offer a holistic approach with lots of treatments for a varied range of conditions. So I am extremely proud of what I have achieved."
