Here are our top picks for the coming days.

1. Indie Publisher Day

A popular Kenilworth bookshop will be showcasing the talents of the town's own authors and publishers to coincide with a national week celebrating independent bookshops.

Kenilworth Books, based in Talisman Shopping Centre, is set to host its Indie Publisher Day on Saturday 22 June to highlight the wide range of writers Kenilworth and the surrounding area has produced.

The event also takes place during Independent Bookshop Week – an initiative to highlight the important role independent bookshops have in their communities.

Running from 10.30am to 3pm, Kenilworth Books will host a selection of writers who have all been supported by independent publishers to make their mark in the book industry.

2. Notes From a Small Island

The Talisman Theatre and Arts Centre is "thrilled to announce" its upcoming production of Bill Bryson's 'Notes from a Small Island,' adapted for the stage by Tim Whitnall, featuring an impressive display of multi-roling from a talented cast.

The production will run from Monday 24 June at the Barrow Road-based theatre in Kenilworth.

Based on Bryson's best-selling travel book, 'Notes from a Small Island' takes the audience on a humorous and heartwarming journey across Britain.

The play vividly captures Bryson's observations and adventures as he travels through charming towns and countryside, meeting an eclectic mix of colourful characters along the way.

In this production, the Talisman actors will showcase their versatility by portraying multiple roles, bringing to life the rich tapestry of personalities that Bryson encounters.
