England fans can enjoy £2 pints at The Almanack until the Three Lions score tonight (July 1).

Football fans heading to the Abbey End pub for England's World Cup clash with DR Congo can enjoy bargain pints of Ghost Town Lager as the newly reopened Kenilworth pub continues its special matchday offer.

For every Three Lions game during the tournament so far, the Abbey End venue has been serving £2 pints of Ghost Town Lager from kick-off until the first goal is scored.

The offer remains in place today for the round of 32 fixture, which kicks off at 5pm.

The match will be shown live across the pub's screens, with fans encouraged to arrive early to soak up the atmosphere and take advantage of the promotion.

The team said: "Did you know we're showing the World Cup at The Almanack in Kenilworth?

"Come and enjoy £2 pints during every England game until the first goal is scored.

"We can't wait to celebrate every goal with you! Don't forget to book your table or arrive early to get the best seats.

"Offer includes Ghost Town Lager only."

The offer comes just weeks after The Almanack celebrated a hugely successful first month under its new owners, Dhillons Brewery, which reopened the much-loved pub in May following an extensive refurbishment.

Since reopening, the venue has attracted a steady stream of customers with its new food menu, wide drinks selection, speciality coffee and programme of live events.

Managing Director Dal Dhillon previously told Nub News the response from the town had exceeded expectations.

"I don't think I could have asked for a better first month of trading," he said.

"People are very happy that it's reopened and that it's not just another shop on the high street that has closed. We wanted to bring it back to its former glory."
