Kenilworth physio strengthens sports injury support ahead of busy sporting season
By James Smith 17th Apr 2026
A Kenilworth physiotherapy clinic has strengthened its sports injury support with the appointment of a new sports therapist, as it builds on a recent rebrand and prepares for one of the busiest periods of the year for activity-related injuries.
Halo Physio has welcomed Chris Wellington to its clinical team, expanding its ability to support patients with injury assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.
The appointment follows a recent rebrand and renewed focus on growth, with the clinic continuing its mission to help people stay active, mobile and pain free across Kenilworth and the wider Warwickshire area.
The timing comes as major sporting moments such as The Masters got into full swing last week, followed closely by the London Marathon, with more people increasing their activity levels and, in many cases, picking up injuries.
Chris, 29, brings a strong background in sport and rehabilitation, with a focus on helping patients recover from injury through hands-on treatment, structured rehabilitation programmes and clear, practical education.
He said: "I've always had a strong desire to help people, particularly when they're going through injury and not feeling at their best.
"My aim is to give patients the support, understanding and confidence I felt was missing when I experienced injury myself growing up.
"Whether it's a runner preparing for an event, someone returning to the gym, or dealing with ongoing pain, it's about giving people the right plan and the support to follow it through."

Dr Andrew Threadgold, co-owner of Halo Physio, said: "This time of year, we typically see a rise in activity-related injuries as people return to sport or begin training for events like the London Marathon.
"Bringing Chris into the team strengthens our ability to support patients at exactly the right time, whether that's early intervention, rehabilitation or helping people avoid more serious issues.
"As a clinic, we're continuing to grow our services and team to meet that demand, while staying focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care."
Alongside its expanded team, Halo Physio continues to develop its range of services, including sports medicine, pelvic health, musculoskeletal care, scar therapy and rehabilitation, supporting a wide range of patients with tailored, specialist-led treatment.
