Solar panels are currently being installed at the building home to Kenilworth Town Council and Sir Jeremy Wright's office.

Scaffolding has been erected around Jubilee House at Abbey End, where new windows are also being fitted.

Warwick District Council announced earlier this year the works would be taking place this June.

The installation is the latest in a series of works at council-owned buildings, with plans also submitted for solar panels on the roof at Castle Farm Leisure Centre.

"Following the installation of solar panels at Newbold Comyn, work is continuing on the decarbonising of our buildings," Cllr Lowell Williams said at March's full district council meeting.

"Next off the block will be Jubilee House in Kenilworth where the new electrical mains supply is due to be installed in May.

"That paves the way for the roof works which will include the installation of solar panels in June.

"Followed by the installation of new windows in late June or July."

Cllr Williams said the installation would help reduce carbon emissions for the town centre building by 17 tonnes annually.
