Second man arrested after village pub death

A second man has been arrested in connection with the death of William 'Billy' Carney on Saturday.

A 42-year-old was arrested yesterday morning (Thursday 1 December) on suspicion of assault and assisting an offender. He is currently in police custody.

The arrest is in connection with an investigation into the death of Mr Carney, who died at Warwick Hospital at the weekend following an incident at the Blue Boar Inn in Temple Grafton on 24 November.

Mark Stevens, 29, of School Road, Dursley, has already been charged with manslaughter following the incident.

Warwickshire Police continue to appeal for witnesses.
