A public reading of the Proclamation of the Accession of King Charles III will take place today (11 September) in Kenilworth.

Read by Mayor of Kenilworth Cllr Sam Louden-Cooke, it will be held at 4.30pm at Kenilworth Castle.

English Heritage will open the gates to all at 4.15pm so it is not necessary to have a castle pass or to pay for entry.

The event is open at all.

A book of condolence following the death of Queen Elizabeth II is also available to be signed at St Nicholas Church, and residents can also leave tributes in Abbey Fields, on the area adjacent to the car park and St Nicholas Church.

Buckingham Palace has opened an online Book of Condolence, which you can sign at The Royal Family website.
