Residents wishing to find out more about the delays to Kenilworth's new swimming pools will now be able to watch next week's public meeting online.

Warwick District Council (WDC) will be hosting an update on the Abbey Fields leisure project at St Nicholas Church on Wednesday (September 27).

Councillors and executives from the council are expected to explain the impact of the archaeological remains on the project and the designs.

While the ticketed event was expected to be in-person only, the council has now confirmed it will be broadcast live on YouTube.

"Understandably there has been a great deal of local interest in this meeting and with places at the venue having reached capacity, we would like to offer the chance for people to watch the proceedings from home," said council leader Cllr Ian Davison.

Whilst those watching online will be unable to submit questions to the panel on the night, anyone taking part remotely can email any outstanding comments or queries after the meeting, which will be published on the council website.

The meeting has been called after Kenilworth Town Council called on its district colleagues for more information on the project to be shared with locals.

The meeting will begin at 7.30pm - locals can follow online on WDC's YouTube page.
