Residents will be able to learn more about plans to build 83 houses on the land around Warwickshire Police's Leek Wootton headquarters at a public meeting this weekend.

CALA Homes has submitted a second application to develop the site at the end of last year, having already put forward a scheme in March 2022.

The developer purchased the land, including old tennis courts and sports fields, in December 2021.

And while a decision is yet to be made on the first proposal, the developer has now put forward a second set of plans.

Still for 83 houses, the new scheme comes as a result of district officers failing to respond to negotiations from CALA - the application claims.

And on Sunday 15 January a public meeting will be held at Leek Wootton Sports Club at 3pm, chaired by Leek Wotton Parish Council and the Leek Wootton Focus Group.

A public consultation was held before the first application was submitted, but CALA said a second one would not be held.

Residents have until January 31 to comment on the plans on the Warwick District Council website.
