Price reduced for former CAMRA Warwickshire Pub of the Year which reamins up for sale
A former CAMRA Warwickshire Pub of the Year which has been on the market for nearly a year has had £70,000 slashed from its asking price.
Property agent Sidney Phillips had been asking £565,000 for the Malt Shovel in Bubbenhall, which won the coveted prize from the Coventry and District branch of CAMRA in 2022.
But now the grade II listed pub is available for £495,000.
With sales of £10,000 per week, the village centre pub is "very popular with walkers and outdoor enthusiasts" and sits just to the east of Ryton Pools Country Park.
The advert says: "The Malt Shovel Inn is a character grade II listed part black and white village Inn that sits within large grounds at the centre of the village of Bubbenhall, Warwickshire.
"The business has long been established as a traditional village pub which is extremely successful recently winning the CAMRA Coventry District Pub of the Year 2020 and 2022.
"The property itself is of part timber frame and brick construction with predominately pitched clay tiled roof.
"It offers two well appointed and easy to operate trading areas with catering kitchen and flat above. It also has the benefit of excellent grounds incorporating large trade garden for 100 plus customers and large tarmacadam car park."
As well as a 27-space car park, the property has two bar areas and first floor accommodation for the owners with an office, kitchen, bathroom lounge and two bedrooms.
