A pop-up shop in Kenilworth has raised £4,500 for a 16-month-old boy who has lost three limbs.

Fundraisers ran the shop in Abbey End at the end of last week, selling books, toys, handmade crafts, and plants all in aid of Rhoman-Gray.

The toddler from Nuneaton has had to have both legs and an arm amputated earlier this year after contracting meningococcal septicaemia.

Following 14 surgeries, Rhoman-Gray is now recovering while his family tries to raise £10,000 to help pay for high-tech prosthetic limbs for him.

To aid the fundraising, family friend Di Carter ran the shop at and has thanked those who donated items to be sold.

"We raised just over £4,500 at our pop up shop by the clock last week," she said.

"All the money has now been sent to the Just Giving fund for Rhoman-Gray to help with specialist equipment for him.

"A special thanks to all my love helpers, I couldn't have done it without you!"

Local businesses also donated prizes to a raffle held at the shop.

Prizes were donated by:

  • Manor House fireplaces
  • Sylvesters the Jewellers
  • Antigo
  • Buds and Bows
  • Iceland
  • Waitrose
  • Revolve at The Studio
  • Forrest Coffee Shop
  • Sainsburys
  • Kay Reflexology
  • Kenilworth Pet and Garden Supplies

Upcoming fundraisers also include two family fun days this September.
