A driver who did not have a licence was stopped by police after being caught going over 100mph on the A46.

Officers from Warwickshire Police's operational patrol unit stopped the Seat driver near Stoneleigh over the weekend.

The vehicle was seized and the driver has been reported for the excessive speeding and for driving without a valid licence.

A force statement said: "We stopped the driver of [a] Seat after following the vehicle travelling in excess of 100mph on the A46 at Stoneleigh.

"Checks revealed that the driver didn't have a valid driving licence so the vehicle was seized and the driver reported for both offences."
