Police appeal after Egyptian currency stolen from house in Lapworth

Police are appealing for information after Egyptian currency was stolen from a house in Lapworth.

Burglars broke into a house on the afternoon on 15 June and stole the cash along with jewellery and a bank card. 

Detective Inspector Pete Sherwood said: "We've carried out a number of enquiries to try to identify the offenders but have been unsuccessful.

"We're really keen to hear from anyone who works in a bank, building society, travel agent or currency exchange who recalls being asked to exchange Egyptian currency recently.

"If you can help, please contact Warwickshire Police by going to Tell us something you've seen or heard | Warwickshire Police or call 101.

"Please quote incident 179 of 15 June 2024. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
