Plans to turn a Kenilworth industrial unit into a veterinary clinic have been withdrawn.

'Kenilworth Vets' had applied for a 'Lawful Development Certificate' which would have allowed the business to use the space at the Bridge Works as a vets.

The application to Warwick District Council said the new business would conduct "diagnosis and treatment of injuries and illnesses in animals".

It also said the clinic on Farmer Ward Road would be set up to "perform surgeries when necessary".

But now the application - despite having received no objections - has been withdrawn from consideration.

No reason for the withdrawal was submitted to the council's planning portal.

Most recently the unit in question was home to Bespoke Cabins and Landscapes ltd.

Unit ten has recently been marketed by local agent Bromwich Hardy which said it had potential for a variety of uses.

Meanwhile one of the other units - a former carpet showroom - was taken over by a new gym in 2023.

See the application here.
