The number of parking spaces at Warwickshire Police's Leek Wootton headquarters needs to double, a planning application has revealed.
The force has applied for planning permission to create another 362 spaces at the Warwick Road HQ which it says will help alleviate a number of issues on site.
"The overriding objective of the proposed development is to deliver adequate capacity of vehicle parking to meet Warwickshire Police's operational needs, to improve pedestrian safety and legibility for staff and visitors and improve site security given the nature of operations," the application explained.
The increased parking - to cater for the 550 full-time staff on site at Woodcote House - will be dotted around the site.

A new one-way system will also be introduced as well as new lighting and other safety measures.
These include resurfacing paths and roads, new pedestrian footpaths, CCTV, security barriers, security huts and gates.
The application to Warwick District Council continued: "In addition to increased parking provision, improvements to site security are essential for the welfare and safety of all staff and visitors.
"There has been an increase in disruptive groups (e.g. 'Auditing Britain') attending site; investigations and risk assessments have been conducted into the incidents with conclusions that under employer liability, Warwickshire Police must address site access, the control of visitors attending the Leek Wootton Headquarters and the management of all when on site.
"Increased parking will enable the police to designate areas accordingly and the final designs will include vehicle control barriers on the two access roads, security lighting and CCTV coverage to key areas."
