Plans to build 270 new homes at Pheasant Oak Farm in Balsall Common have been revealed, with locals given until the start of June to have their say on the scheme.
Barwood Land has launched a public consultation on the development which could see the new estate built on land between Hob Lane and Windmill Lane.
The site has also provisionally been included in the draft new local plan for Solihull, despite opposition from locals.
According to Barwood's website, the homes will include a range of sizes from starter to larger family dwellings - and 40 per cent will be affordable.
"The homes will be surrounded by extensive landscaping and we will create new public areas of open greenspace to enhance the rural character of the area, and for the benefit of both new residents and the wider local community," the website added.
"The proposed layout will create new pedestrian and cycle routes throughout the site, allowing safe and sustainable travel from the development into the centre of Balsall and beyond.
"The popular Millennium Way pedestrian route will also be significantly upgraded to encourage further use."
As part of the consultation, Barwood Land will be hosting a public exhibition on Saturday 20 May at Balsall Common Village Hall from 2pm – 6pm.
The developer has already successfully brought forward new housing schemes in Kenilworth and Warwick.
And Barwood has already been told by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC's) planning department that an environmental impact assessment for the development is not necessary as it is "unlikely to have significant environmental impacts".
The website added: "The plans for Pheasant Oak Farm have been carefully developed and are based on extensive research and background studies.
"We now want to hear your views before we submit an outline planning application. Please take the time to read through the information available on this website and let us know your thoughts.
"In order to take your comments into consideration, please ensure that we receive them no later than Friday 2 June 2023."
Locals have also been left waiting to see the finalised version of the new local plan, after the review of the plan by the planning inspectorate plan was paused earlier this year by SMBC "to enable the finalised version of the National Planning Policy Framework to be published" this spring.
