A new student's time at university has not started as they mean to go on as their parent crashed their car into a university building.

A photo released by Warwickshire Operational Police Unit shows a car crashed into a window at the University of Warwick on Saturday (September 25) during moving in day.

Police said: "Probably one of the more embarrassing ways to drop your child off for their first day of university by literally driving into their halls of residence."

Warwickshire Police confirmed there were no injuries.
