Papa John's will be serving its first pizzas in Kenilworth today as it opens its new branch at Abbey End.

The takeaway pizza franchise took over the former 'Burger N More' unit at 49 Abbey End in late October and has since put up its own signage and redesigned the interior.

Opening at 1.30pm this afternoon (December 8) customers will be able to order in store and online.

The branch, which will employ 10 members of staff, had a test run for the opening yesterday.

Store manager Manj Bath said to Nub News: "We will be opening our website at 2pm today.

"We are very prepared, we had a dry run yesterday with family and friends to test all of our food and quality checks."

The branch will eventually be added to Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat in the coming weeks.

Manj said he and the team were excited to get going and had already received a warm welcome from residents.

"We are very excited to be opening," he said.

"It is a great looking store and it is a great town. We have already met lots of friendly people enquiring about the opening. And it is the perfect time to be opening just before Christmas.

"We are so excited to start serving the people of Kenilworth some great pizzas!"
