Fast food chains KFC and Five Guys remain tight lipped on when their new drive thru eateries will open at Leamington Shopping Park.

Work to create the two new restaurants - on the land where Frankie & Benny's once stood - is well underway with the two units quickly taking shape.

Planning permission was granted for the project last year, with further details of the designs signed off in the past few weeks.

But as work on site nears completion, neither restaurant would confirm when they will open.

A KFC Spokesperson said to Nub News: “Fear not KFC fans of Leamington! 

"The rumours are true, our coop will be opening soon…watch this space for more information!”

Meanwhile Five Guys did not respond to Nub News' response for comment - but has started advertising for an assistant manager role in Leamington Spa, with the map showing it is at Tachbrook Park Drive.

The role pays £33,040.

The chain had previously told Nub News the opening of the restaurant was not fully confirmed - although the original planning application said the burger chain would be one of the users of the two units.
