HS2 has issued its winter update for all the upcoming works around Kenilworth.

Over the past few months HS2 has had another closure on Dalehouse Lane and has been given permission for its 750 metre long cutting near Coventry Road.

And now the high speed rail developer has released its summer 'construction look ahead' for Warwickshire.

Upcoming work:

  • Cromwell Lane is now open but works on the new tunnel and realignment continue
  • Works on Broadwell Woods embankment and cutting will continue
  • New woodlands, wetlands and habitats still under creation near Crackley Lane
  • New alignment and overbridge of Crackley Lane
  • Finishing the temporary bridge over Canley Brook
  • Securing new Canley Brook site access and egress to build Canley Brook Viaduct
  • Moving soil from Glasshouse Wood Cutting to Kenilworth Cutting
  • Multiple utility works in advance of the construction of the new Dalehouse Lane Overbridge
  • Creating and operating the new access to the A46 Kenilworth Bypass Main Compound
  • Building the A46 box jack structure adjacent to the Bypass until 2024

HS2 also said there will be the "removal of the minimum number of trees and vegetation needed to safely build the railway and prepare sites for construction".
