A new Tesco Express is set to open in Kenilworth, replacing a One Stop shop.

The supermarket chain has confirmed the One Stop on Albion Street will be rebranded.

Nub News understands the change is to come later this year, and a short closure is expected while the unit is rebranded.

Staff at the One Stop will be given roles at the new Tesco store and are expected to be given more information about the changes in the coming weeks.

A planning application has also been submitted to Warwick District Council asking for permission to change the signage at the Albion Street shop.

An exact date for the temporary closure is yet to be confirmed.

One Stop has been owned by Tesco since 2003. The business has not commented on why the change is being made.

Kenilworth already has a Tesco Express at Leyes Lane.
