New menu and opening times for Kenilworth café
By James Smith 7th Jun 2026
A French-inspired Kenilworth café is leading a rosti revolution as it unveils its new menu and opening times.
Charlotte on Warwick Road has officially announced its evening openings as it looks to revamp into an all-day casual dining experience.
The town centre café first opened in October 2024 in the former Thorntons unit and has since proved a big hit with locals with its freshly-cooked food, baked goods and coffee.
The business has continued to evolve over that time and has now unveiled a new menu which features a wide range of potato rostis and says it is the only eatery in the world offering that sort of dish.
Owner and chef Stuart Langdell told Nub News: "When we started the business, the idea was to do a French-inspired café.
"When we developed the menu originally we had a bit of everything with croques, beef bourguignon, baguettes and that sort of thing.

"I am a snowboarder and I really like a potato rosti, but it is the sort of thing you only find in certain restaurants in France, Switzerland, Austria and so on - and not every restaurant there does it.
"We thought we would put some on the menu and they sold really well. We expanded those with more toppings, sort of inspired by a pizza restaurant; the same base, but with different toppings.
"The last menu we still had a few other bits on the menu but I have decided to move forward with just the rostis.
"We are the only place in the world doing what we are doing with the rostis. It has happened organically."

A rosti is made from grated potato, cooked in lots of butter, pressed flat, topped with a "healthy whack of cheese" and then grilled until it's all hot.
Charlotte is adding its own twist with nine different topping options, from the classic Swiss to 'The Norwegian' with smoked salmon and 'The Iberian' with chorizo, feta and peppers.
Stuart - who used to work at The Cross and other fine dining restaurants - continued: "It is a simple food, but very filling.
"Let's be honest, the more you go out these days, you are paying more and more and more, and getting less and less and less.
"Whereas with this, it is the opposite.
"I have worked in restaurants where you are doing tiny plates of really intricate fancy food, but what I want to do here is feed people.
"The comment we get most from people is that the food is generous, hot and affordable.
"It is the first of its kind, doing this concept.
"My ambition is for this to be like pizza or a burger, where you can eat it at any time of day, for £15, and leave well fed."

The new menu was launched in May alongside the new opening times - and ever-popular coffee and cake offer - which will see Charlotte open from 10am to 9pm Tuesday to Saturday and from 10am to 4pm.
No booking is required as Charlotte does not want to lose its casual dining experience.
The business now has an alcohol licence and offers beers, wines and cocktails.
Sunday's will also see Charlotte offer a half roast chicken and potatoes for just £15.
But the new plan does not mean the business has turned its back on being a coffee shop. With a new baker coming on board, Stuart said Charlotte will continue to offer something for everyone.
"It is something different, it is something new," he explained.
"It is generous, it is hearty and it offers great value. There is no pressure here to come in and spend lots of money.
"You can have as much or as little as you like really. And we have great customer service.
"You get well fed, the drinks are great, the prices are reasonable and you can be here from 15 minutes to two hours."
