Plans to build a new home next to a disused Kenilworth water tower have been revealed - on a plot of land which has previously been refused planning permission to be developed.

The application has been submitted for the plot on the corner of Crewe Lane and Knowle Hill.

If approved, the home would be a three-bedroom bungalow and be built next to Reservoir House.

"Reservoir House was formerly a disused water tower until planning permission was granted in 1985 for its conversion to a dwelling house," the application said.

"The application site is land formerly associated with the water tower and it has a Nil Use."

The application continued: "One house is small scale and single storey.

"The site is surrounded on all sides by residential development and so the proposal will not have a negative impact on the character of Kenilworth.

"To the east is the taller Reservoir House. Large scale recently completed residential and education development is located on the south side of Crewe Lane."
