A new coffee shop run by two self-acclaimed "coffee geeks" is set to open in Kenilworth.

Work is well underway in turning the former Shine Medical Cosmetic Clinic on Warwick Road into 'BrewQuest Coffee'.

Planned to open this October, the new cafe will be run by husband and wife Marcin and Magda, and is the realisation of a long-held dream.

"It has been a dream for maybe ten years really," Marcin told Nub News.

"Whenever we would go abroad, to different countries, we would always try the different coffee and independent coffee shops.

"This is a journey for us, it's a 'BrewQuest', exploring flavours and sharing experiences.

"It's like our coffee journey really."

After taking the keys to the town centre unit earlier this month, the duo have been busy turning the form clinic into a new coffee shop.

Work is well underway but the couple are still yet to decide what to do with the 'butchers' tiles which have been revealed on the shopfront during the development.

And when asked how BrewQuest will differ from the other coffee shops in town, Marcin explained: "In Kenilworth, you've got many great coffee shops.

"We want to bring this, add a nice atmosphere because our place would be small.

"It will be more like at home drinking, with some homely treats and great coffee."

Marcin has previously worked as a chef and Magda a manager in hospitality, so running a coffee shop will not be new for the couple.

And as well as a "couple of surprises" to go alongside their homemade treats and speciality coffee, the duo are asking Kenilworth locals to come and see what makes them different when they open.

Marcin added: "I want everyone to try us, come around, just say hello and give us a chance. "There will be another nice place to have a tea or coffee in Kenilworth.

"We will be focusing on great quality coffee, tea and cakes.

"And maybe we've got a couple of surprises which I haven't seen any of elsewhere in Kenilworth.

"So, I'll just leave it as a small teaser for everyone!"
