The Midlands Rock Choir is partway through a series of concerts at ten different venues all in aid of people affected by the war in Ukraine.

The choir, which consists of groups from Coventry, Allesley, Leamington Spa, Rugby, Hinckley and Lutterworth started its 'Echoes Tour' on Saturday, 30 July at St John the Baptist Church in Coventry.

Running through the summer, the tour will visit various venues in Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Rugby, Kenilworth, Hinckley and Warwick before finishing in Lutterworth on the bank holiday weekend.

All profits will be donated to charity partner Voices of Children and UNHCR who are working to support Ukrainians in their home country and those who have been displaced by the crisis.

Local Rock Choir leader, Kirk Hastings, said: "This tour means so much to us as we aim to help so many people that have been forced into a time of great need.

"We have partnered with two amazing charities who are making such a difference to the crisis in Ukraine and we hope our Echoes tour will not only echo around the walls and halls but to all those in need."

The tour features some of Rock Choir's most popular songs and the nation's most beloved hits – "making sure audiences have an uplifting evening of great entertainment, whilst raising money for a cause close to everyone's hearts".

Choir member Lyn Fenner, who joined Coventry Rock Choir in 2015, added: "The Echoes tour has been planned to help the Ukrainian situation which we all think is horrific and people should come along to support it, as not only will they be supporting something but they'll be having a really good night out and doing something really worthwhile."
