A 'Memorial Melee' is set to be hosted in Kenilworth this weekend in the memory of much-loved members of the local community.

Nomades Petanque Club will host the memorial event for Geoff Harris and Peter Dennis at Kenilworth Sporting on Saturday (November 11).

Mr Harris, who passed away on August 11 aged 77, spent nearly four decades running local firm Coventry Plumbing and Heating Supplies, and was the driving force in launching Kenilworth Sporting at Gypsy Lane.

Mr Dennis was a life member of Nomades Pétanque Club and played right up to his death at the age of 93 this year.

The charity day will feature a raffle and mid-morning brunch as well as friendly competition.

Registration starts at 9.30am for a 10am start.
