Mayor of Kenilworth Cllr Richard Dickson has today announced that he has tested positive for Covid-19, and is as a result self-isolating

Cllr Dickson had already been self-isolating after a family member he had seen on Christmas day had tested positive on December 28.

Speaking to Kenilworth Nub News Cllr Dickson said "After two negative lateral flow tests in late December, I'd developed - and still have - a continuous headache and sort throat.

"I've been advised this morning [January 4] that the PCR result was positive which means that - like many other people in Kenilworth have had to do in the past nine months - I need to self-isolate. In my case it will be for a further period of 10 days as of yesterday.

"My wife Kate also has to self-isolate although she did not take the test and is not showing any symptoms.

"I'm not aware of any external Mayoral engagements in the next 10 days and I shall do my best to take part in online commitments in the meantime."
