A man was rescued by police and fire crews after his car ended up in a ditch in Kenilworth yesterday (July 28).

Kenilworth Fire Crews and Warwickshire Police were called to the incident on Coventry Road at 9.30am after reports that a car had driven off the road and into the ditch.

The male drive received minor injuries and was attended to by an off duty paramedic who happened to be passing.

Firefighters made the car safe by disconnecting the battery to ensure there was no risk of fire.
