Man arrested after 'unexplained' death of woman in Kenilworth

A 44-year-old man has been arrested after the "unexplained" death of a woman in Kenilworth this morning (January 15).

Warwickshire Police officers were called by ambulance crews to a property on Alexandra Court at 7am where a woman in her 30's was declared dead.

Officers said the man is from Kenilworth and was detained in connection with her death.

A force statement said: "A woman in her 30s was declared deceased and the death is being treated as unexplained at this time."

The woman's family has been informed and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.

"This is a contained incident and there is currently no risk to the wider public," the spokesperson said.

The force also said the Alexandra Court property is being guarded by police while investigations continue.
