Morgan Sindall Group has been awarded the main construction contract for the new Kenilworth School and Sixth Form on Glasshouse Lane.

The site for the new 2,200 pupil school was acquired in December last year, with Morgan Sindall contracted to do the pre-construction works.

Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust (KMAT) has now awarded the firm the main contract. They will push ahead with the main building works which are due to start this month and be completed in June 2023.

The new school is expected to open to new and existing pupils in September 2023.

Kenilworth School & Sixth Form has been planning the project that will see it move from its two sites on Leyes Lane and Rouncil Lane to Southcrest Farm since 2014.

The school will also be launching a major fundraising project to provide enhanced facilities at the new site to benefit the students and community in Kenilworth.
