Police are appealing for information after a person in their 80's was left with "serious injuries" following a crash on the M40.

On Tuesday 15 October, a white BMW estate was involved in a road traffic collision with a blue BMW X2 on the M40 Southbound at the exit for Junction 16.

The white BMW was parked on the hard shoulder when, at around 12:30pm, the blue BMW collided with the rear of it.

The resulted in a passenger of the parked car in his 80s sustaining serious injuries.

"If you were witness to this collision, or if you have dashcam footage from the area around this time, contact us citing Incident 138 of 15 October," a Warwickshire Police statement said.
