The Eric Lyons butchers store in Balsall Common has reopened following a temporary closure for refurbishment.

The store closed on Saturday, October 10, to allow refit work to take place, with a notice displayed at the shop informing customers of the temporary closure.

The business reopened on Monday, November 2, welcoming customers back to the refurbished store.

Before closing, a notice to customers said the work would make the shop "even better" for shoppers.

It also apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their patience and continued support.

The company's stores in Knowle and Bentley Heath remained open as normal while the Balsall Common refurbishment was carried out.

The Balsall Common store originally opened in November 2025.
