Just a week to go before opening night next Thursday!

Another remarkable festival brings together musicians from across Europe and some of the very finest from the UK.

Box office favourites, the Leonore Piano Trio opens the event playing works by Rachmaninov, Arensky and Tchaikovsky. Look out for some fireworks from Tim Horton at the piano!

Friday is hosted by the acknowledged clarinet maestro Michael Collins, joined by friends, at noon and again in the evening.

Robin Holloway's works feature at both concerts, his Romanza and Scherzo at noon and Trio for Clarinet, Viola and Piano in the evening.

A highlight at noon will, no doubt, be Brahms Clarinet Trio in A minor.

Saturday's Coffee Concert sees the return of two members of the Leonore Pino Trio with cellist Gemma Rosefield tackling Rachmaninov's Cello Sonata in G minor, his last and most famous chamber work.

Piano works dominate the rest of the day with duets by Mozart, Schubert, Glière and Rachmaninov played by Roman Kosyakov - a Leamington Music Prize winner in 2019 - and Tanya Avchinnkova, his Belarusian wife. Previous festival star, Andrey Gugnin returns in the evening to play Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.

Many will remember the standing ovation he received in 2019.

Sinfonia of London make a welcome return to All Saints' Church on Sunday evening - last year's concert was a sell-out - to play Glazunov's Saxophone Concerto in E flat with Amy Dickson, considered by the BBC Music Magazine to be one of the world's six best saxophonists, plus Rachmaninov's Symphony No 2.

This year's festival ends on May Bank Holiday Monday with the Greenwich Piano Trio at lunchtime and the ever-popular Sacconi Quartet on the last night. Schubert's 'Death and the Maiden' will be an extraordinary climax.
