All lanes of the A46 in South Warwickshire have reopened following a vehicle fire earlier today (May 5).

The dual carriageway was closed southbound after the incident between the M40 and A4177 junctions near Warwick.

National Highways originally reported two miles of congestion while the incident was attended by emergency services.

One lane was then reopened while the vehicle was removed from the road.

National Highways confirmed around 2pm that the A46 was fully open again and there were "no delays or congestion in the vicinity".
