A sale of over £1.25million has been agreed with a cash buyer for Kenilworth's historic water tower.

The four-bed home on Tainters hill was originally a windmill and is thought to date back to the mid 1700's.

It was converted into a water tower in 1885 and then into living accommodation in 1973.

Having been on the market for over 18 months, the tower was sold by Tyron Ash Real Estate earlier this month.

Tyron Ash is famous for featuring on Channel Four reality programme Mega Mansion Hunters.

A company spokesperson said: "Previously on with three very well-known agents for 1.7 years, the property became very well known as impossible to sell by the locals.

"After 13 viewings, we managed to find a cash buyer in just 34 days thats been looking for over three years for their dream home."

With four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two reception rooms, the water tower is split over seven floors and has a large patio on the first floor with a small balcony on the fifth.
