A local youngster has been forced to wear a tag and stay inside after 6pm following a number of anti-social behaviour incidents.
The unnamed youth was arrested at the start of the summer holidays for "numerous offences" including damage to police vehicles, assaulting officers and possessing a knife.
"This male was causing many issues not only in Kenilworth but also Leamington and Warwick also," a report presented to Kenilworth Town Council by local police said.
The boy has been placed on court bail and will be arrested if he breaches the curfew conditions.
Kenilworth Safer Neighbourhood Team said the episode is an example of the proactive policing in the town from the past few weeks.
"Since the start of the school holidays there has been a dedicated ASB car which has been crewed with two officers from 3pm to 10pm and they have a list of ASB target hotspots to patrol," the report added.
"Within Kenilworth we have Abbey Fields, Abbey End and Talisman Square.
"Warwick and Leamington have their own areas patrolled by the same vehicle.
"If calls come into the police they primarily deal with it however if there are no calls for ASB they carry out preventive patrols.
"So far this seems to have prevented poor behaviour."
Officers also said the main issues affecting local residents are keyless car thefts, stealing wing mirrors and spare wheels from Land Rovers and BMW's, and thieves stealing vehicles which are left unlocked.
The force said it is committed to sending an officer to every reported vehicle crime.
"Despite what some may see on social media, crime figures are not that bad in comparison to other areas, however there is always room for improvement," the report said.
