A Kenilworth teenager who was found dead in a Dorset nature reserve has been named by police.

Katherine Susan Jane Powell, 17, from Kenilworth was found alongside Jack Michael Williams, 18, from Bridport on Tuesday, January 25 in the Bothenhampton Nature Reserve, Dorset.

Their next of kin have been informed and police said there were no suspicious circumstances.

Dorset Police were called at 10am on January 25 to Wych Hill where they found the two teenagers dead at the scene.

The causes of their deaths are currently unknown.

Police appealed for information to help piece together the teenagers' movements before they died.

The force has also referred itself to the Independent Office of Police Conduct.

"Our thoughts are with the families and friends of the two young people who tragically died," said Detective Sergeant Simon Lee, of Dorset Police.

"As is normal in these cases, we are now making enquiries on behalf of the coroner's office to establish the circumstances of the deaths. Therefore, we are appealing for information from the public to help us piece together the two young people's movements prior to their tragic deaths."

The teenagers have now been identified following the opening of the coroner's inquest.

Messages of condolence and sadness have flooded in from the Bridport community throughout the past week.
