Nearly 9,000 Christmas cards were delivered by the Kenilworth scout post this Christmas.
Organised by 4th Kenilworth Scout Group, the annual post expanded into Hill Wootton, Stoneleigh and Ashow for 2021.
Still using the Covid-safe measures that were introduced in 2020, the post managed to deliver 114kg of cards from local residents.
And with cards costing a minimum donation of 25p each, that's over £2,000 raised by this year's post.
A Kenilworth scout spokesperson said the 2021 post was a complete "success".
"Supported and encouraged by Kenilworth Town Council, we collected and delivered 114kg of cards, something between 8,500 - 9,000 cards, equivalent to five and half of our Beaver Scouts - that's our youngest section, the six to eight-year-olds," they said.
"As usual, we had a few mis-addressed cards to tackle, but most of those also got to the correct homes thanks to detective work and assistance from Kenilworth citizens - scouts always do their best."
The scouts had run collections in Talisman Square on Saturdays throughout December and a number of local businesses also collected cards on their behalf during the month.
And the spokesperson was quick to thank the businesses involved.
"We are hugely grateful to the collection points for enabling folk to drop off their Christmas cards all round the area: GDT Autos, Steve Crowe & Son, Leyes Lane Pharmacy, Farthing Gallery, Kenilworth Books and some church collections in the villages," they said.
